Sport Psychology – Services

A Buck-I is a 30 minute initial consultation to create an individualized service plan, just for YOU!
Individual sessions are confidential and can be worked around your busy schedule for your convenience. Sessions last 30-60 minutes, and you should arrive 15 minutes prior to your scheduled session time to register and complete initial paperwork.
INDIVIDUAL THERAPY
We offer individual counseling sessions to student-athletes to enhance their mental health and sport performance. Those challenges include but are not limited to difficulty managing anxiety, homesickness, depression/sadness, interpersonal relationships & dating, lack of motivation, performance slumps.
GROUP THERAPY
We offer group counseling on various topics related to the student-athlete experience that meet once a week during scheduled times throughout the fall, spring and summer semesters. While topics vary, each group (typically 5-10 participants) is lead by one or two SPAWS staff members to facilitate discussion on the designated topic.

TEAM CONSULTATION
Our team offers support to coaches and staff members around strategies for optimizing athletic performance and also how to support student-athlete’s mental health. Each member of our team works with specific sports teams to provide team talks, coach consultation, and team support around these topics.
