
Sophomore QB Joe Burrow Out Indefinitely

COLUMBUS, Ohio – Ohio State sophomore quarterback Joe Burrow had surgery yesterday – Tuesday, Aug. 22 – on his right hand to repair a broken bone and will be sidelined indefinitely. Burrow sustained the injury during practice on Monday. The surgery was performed at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center.
Burrow, from The Plains, Ohio, was competing with second-year freshman Dwayne Haskins for the back-up quarterback role to the starter, J.T. Barrett. He played in five games in 2016, completing 22 of 28 passes for 226 yards and two touchdowns. He is majoring in business.
