Buckeyes Place 19 on the NFHCA National Academic Squad

COLUMBUS, Ohio – Nineteen members of the Ohio State field hockey team – the second-most in the eight seasons under head coach Jarred Martin – were named on Wednesday to the National Field Hockey Coaches Association as members of the 2025 Division I National Academic Squad.
The NFHCA National Academic Squad program, sponsored by OPA Winning Teams, honors collegiate student-athletes who have achieved a cumulative grade-point average of 3.50 or higher through the first semester of the current academic year, and were nominated by their NFHCA member coach.
This marks the 20th-consecutive season the Buckeyes have recorded nine or more team members on the national academic list. The Buckeyes' 19 members of the squad represent 60 percent of their total roster.
Wednesday's news comes as no surprise in the context of the overall academic numbers Ohio State posted in the fall. As a team, the Buckeyes 24 student-athletes who were named the Big Ten's All-Academic squad.
