Harrison Jr. Selected for Big Ten Preseason Honors
7/26/2023 9:00:00 AM | General, Football
The announcement was made as Big Ten Media Days begin at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis. Harrison Jr. will be part of the Buckeye contingent on hand, along with head coach Ryan Day, TE Cade Stover and DE JT Tuimoloau. BTN will have exclusive coverage of the event, including Day's press conference at 12:30 p.m. ET. Harrison Jr., Stover and Tuimoloau are scheduled to appear live on BTN at 2:30 p.m.

Harrison Jr. enters the 2023 season as a leading contender for every major national award. A finalist for last season's Biletnikoff Award and Ohio State's first-ever unanimous All-American at wide receiver, he caught 77 passes for 1,263 yards and 14 touchdowns. That production earned him the Big Ten's Richter-Howard Wide Receiver of the Year award. His reception and yardage totals are each fourth all-time at Ohio State for a single season and his TD total is tied for second with David Boston (1997), trailing only Terry Glenn's 17 in 1995.
In the biggest games of the year, Harrison Jr. was at his best. In the CFP Semifinals at the Peach Bowl against No. 1 Georgia, he caught five passes for 106 yards and two touchdowns. Earlier in the season at No. 13 Penn State, Harrison Jr. set a career high with 185 yards on 10 catches – all of which resulted in first downs.
