
Title IX: Janelle Bosse Claims NCAA Gold

Janelle Bosse was a decorated member of the Ohio State women's swimming and diving program in the 1980's and made NCAA Championship history for the Buckeyes.
Bosse won NCAA gold in the 400 IM in 1987, becoming the first and only Buckeye in program history to win an individual NCAA title.
Bosse, a four-time All-American, helped the Buckeyes to Big Ten Championships in 1985 and 1986. She won four straight (1985-88) Big Ten titles in the 400 IM and also holds Big Ten titles in the 500 free (1985), 200 IM (1985-88), 200 fly (1985-86) and the 400 medley relay (1986).
Bosse was selected as the Big Ten Swimmer of the Year in both 1985 and 1986 and she was a four-time (1985-88) First Team All-Big Ten honoree.
Bosse was inducted into the Ohio State Athletics Hall of Fame in 1995.
