Ohio State Student-Athletes Receive Degrees at Spring Commencement – Ohio State Buckeyes

COLUMBUS, Ohio 115 current and former Buckeye student-athletes received their degree from The Ohio State University at spring commencement Sunday in Ohio Stadium.
Among the honorees are former football player Mike Doss, former diver Kellen Harkness, pistol team member Teresa Meyer and track and field athletes Veronica and Lenny Jatsek.
Doss, who helped lead the football team to the 2002 national championship, returned to school and completed his degree in communications. Doss was the Big Ten Defensive Player of the Year in 2002, was both a three-time All-Big Ten and All-American selection and was a two-time semi-finalist for the Thorpe Award. Doss spent the last five seasons playing in the NFL, spending four years (2003-06) with the Indianapolis Colts and 2007 with the Minnesota Vikings.
Meyer, a native of Dearborn, Mich., who completed her eligibility this past spring, will receive her degree in human resources. During her time on the pistol squad, Meyer was a seven-time national champion and was twice named to the All-America first-team.
Harkness, a member of the men’s diving team from 2003 to 2007, will graduate from Ohio State with a degree in operations management. Harkness was a 2006-07 All-American and was also named the 2007 Big Ten Diver of the Year following his gold medal performance in the 3-meter.
Veronica and Lenny Jatsek, siblings from Walton Hills, Ohio, will graduate Sunday with degrees in construction systems management. Veronica was a two-time All-America selection in track and field and was also a two-time Big Ten champion in the hammer throw. Lenny was a 2006 and 2008 All-America selection in track and field, as well as the 2006 and 2007 Big Ten Champion in the indoor weight throw.
