COLUMBUS, Ohio – Michael Wiley has been named the Big Ten Conference’s offensive player of the week for his 209-yard, two-touchdown performance in the win over No. 21 Missouri.
Wiley carried the football a career-high 24 times and he set a personal rushing best for the third consecutive game. He put the Buckeyes on the scoreboard with a 21-yard run in the first quarter and his 11-yard scamper early in the fourth gave Ohio State a commanding 28-14 lead. He had a long rush of 56 yards on the day.
Wiley, who became the eighth Buckeye to ever rush for 200 yards in one game, is the third-consecutive Buckeye to be named Big Ten player of the week. Last week Brent Bartholomew was named special teams player of the week and two weeks ago Antoine Winfield was named the defensive player of the week.
