LOS ANGELES – Four days away from the 105th Rose Bowl Game against ninth-ranked Washington, Ohio State hit the practice field once again under beautiful weather conditions in southern California.
The Buckeyes’ practice once again occurred at the StubHub Center and lasted for two hours. Ohio State will practice again on Saturday and Sunday and treat Monday’s workout like its typical “Best Friday’s in Football” routine.
The weather on Friday was a carbon copy of Wednesday and Thursday: sunny skies with temperatures in the low 60s and a slight breeze. It was designed as a typical Tuesday practice that would be held during the regular season. And just like on Thursday, members of media were permitted to watch the first 15 minutes of practice.
Among the guests at practice was a familiar face: All-American defensive end Nick Bosa, who left the team midseason to rehab an injury and prepare for the NFL Draft. He was greeted to handshakes, high fives and hugs from members of the coaching staff and players, including Mickey Marotti and Urban Meyer. San Francisco 49ers general manager John Lynch was also in attendance.
Ohio State will spend the late afternoon enjoying some relaxation at the Improv Comedy Club in Hollywood. The club has annually lined up popular comedians to provide entertainment to the players while also enjoying snacks and beverages. Prior to the show, a 30-minute open mic will be available to anyone who wants to perform. Additionally, two signed footballs will be presented to the Improv as a gift from the team.
It’s offensive media day tomorrow. Offensive coordinator/quarterbacks coach Ryan Day and a selection of players will meet with the media from 8-8:30 a.m.
