Anthony Glass, MS.Ed., CSCS, MSCC, HFI, NASE oversees all aspects of the Buckeyes’ strength-training program. Glass came to Ohio State after serving as the Director of Strength and Conditioning for Olympic Sports at the University of Georgia. Prior to Georgia, he was an Assistant Strength and Conditioning Coach for Boston College during the 1995-1996 season. In 1990, Glass served as Head Strength and Conditioning Coach for Lenoir-Rhyne College (Hickory, NC).
Glass holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Physical Education with a concentration in Exercise Science from Appalachian State University (ASU) and a Master’s of Science Education degree in Physical Education, with areas of interest in Coaching and Sport Biomechanics, from Northern Illinois University (NIU). While at NIU, he was a Weight Training Instructor for the Department of Physical Education, 1993-1995. With his learned skills in weight training, Glass published a book, Weight Training: A step-by-step guide to the development of a safe and sound program. Glass also serves as State Director for both the National Strength and Conditioning Association and the National Association for Speed and Explosion.
Glass resides in Westerville with his wife, Guerdie, and his son AJ and daughters Leila and Leena.
