COLUMBUS, Ohio – Ohio State University welcomed 31 freshmen – 18 scholarship and 13 invited walk-ons – to the start of its fall football camp. %^$

%^$Scholarship players include Tim Anderson, Richard Bryant, Drew Carter, Adrien Clarke, Michael Doss, Ben Hartsock, Jesse Kline, Craig Krenzel, Kelton Lindsay, Scott McMullen, Richard McNutt, Pat O’Neill, Fred Pagac, B.J. Sander, Nate Stead, Fred Sturrup, Matt Wilhelm, and Matt Zahn.%^$

%^$ Six members of Ohio State’s 1999 recruiting class did not report for fall camp after not meeting NCAA initial eligibility requirements. Those six are offensive lineman Bryce Bishop (Miami, Fla.), defensive back Curtis Crosby (Columbus), running back Richard Hall (Wyoming, Ohio), wide receivers Maurice Harris (Jacksonville, Fla.) and Maurice Lee (Cleveland) and defensive back Ziyier Walker (Patterson, N.J.). %^$
%^$”We anticipate and are expecting that Bishop, Crosby and Lee will all enroll at Ohio State and attend classes during this fall quarter,” head coach John Cooper said.%^$
%^$Hall, Harris and Walker were not admitted to Ohio State. Cooper did not know precisely what Harris and Walker’s plans are, but he believed that Hall was going to pursue attending one of Ohio State’s branch campuses this fall.%^$
