Three Volleyball Student-Athletes Named to Verizon Academic All-District Squad – Ohio State Buckeyes

COLUMBUS, Ohio – The 2001 Verizon Academic All-District IV Volleyball Team has been announced. Ohio State’s setter Katie Virtue (Jr., St. Charles, Ill./Business Marketing) has been selected to the second team while teammates, middle blockers Erin Baker (Sr., Elmhurst, Ill./Speech & Hearing Sciences) and Suzie Stiling (Jr., Glenview, Ill./Business Accounting) were named to the third team.
The 1,800 members of the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) vote for the Verizon Academic All-America Teams. To be eligible, an athlete must be a varsity starter or key reserve and maintain a cumulative GPA of at least 3.20 on a scale of 4.00. Team members are selected by a vote of members of the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) within the district.
