Women’s Basketball Seat Selection

Why Are We Doing a Seat Selection?
Our women’s basketball season ticket holders are among the most dedicated supporters in Buckeye Nation, and your commitment has been essential to building one of the premier programs in the country. Your loyalty and belief in our team have helped create the foundation for our success.
To uphold the standard of excellence you’ve helped establish, we are taking steps to further strengthen the future of our women’s basketball student-athletes. Beginning in 2026-27, we are elevating our commitment to ensure they have access to the same caliber resources and comprehensive support that define Ohio State Athletics. As part of this effort, women’s basketball season ticket holders will select their seat locations during the first-ever Women’s Basketball Seat Selection. Along with the seat selection a Per-Seat Contribution (PSC) is being introduced in select areas of the arena. The PSC supports the Buckeye Club by providing Buckeye student-athletes with the opportunities to excel on the court, in the classroom, and in life.
Per-Seat Contribution & Buckeye Club
What is a Per-Seat Contribution?
The per-seat contribution (PSC) is an additional amount per seat, on top of the season ticket cost, that is required to purchase tickets in designated sections. With the shift to this new model not all sections in the Schottenstein Center will require a per-seat contribution, and in those sections only the cost of the season tickets will be required.
What is the Buckeye Club?
The Buckeye Club is the annual giving program of The Ohio State University Department of Athletics. Contributions to the Buckeye Club are used to cover the grant-in-aid costs to our student-athletes, which encompasses tuition, books and room and board. In 2025, the Department of Athletics transferred over $24 million to the university to cover the grant-in-aid costs of our student-athletes.
The Department of Athletics is entirely self-supporting and provides over 1,000 student-athletes participating in 36 sports an unparalleled experience to help achieve their academic and athletic goals. Your generous support in helping to cover those grant-in-aid costs is vital to the success of the current student-athletes while laying the foundation for future Buckeyes.
How Does The Seat Selection Impact Me?
Beginning with the 2026-27 season, season ticket holders will select their own seats during the first ever seat selection for Women’s Basketball. Due to seating configuration changes, this will be a required process that will give season ticket holders more choices, allowing them to be more involved in the seating process, and make seating equitable for everyone.
How Does It Work?
Season ticket holders will select their seats in priority order based on their overall Athletics giving. Each account will be assigned a selection window based upon their priority ranking (giving level to Athletics and priority points within each giving level). Season ticket holders will use the online Virtual Venue to select their seats, which will display real-time available inventory in the Schottenstein Center as well as a 3D view from the selected seats. For those familiar, this is the same functionality used for seat selection for Football season tickets.

Priority
How Does Priority Work?
Priority is first determined by Athletics Giving Level (a combination of annual and lifetime giving to Athletics) and then priority points within each level. Donors within each giving level are ranked based on their priority points. This structure is used for priority to determine access to seating and post-season tickets.
Athletics Giving Levels
The Buckeye Club giving structure includes the Pay Forward Society, two lifetime Athletics giving levels and eight annual giving levels.
- The Pay Forward Society recognizes donors who have provided single gifts of $5 million or more to Ohio State Athletics projects. Total lifetime giving to Athletics of $5 million or more does not qualify for this level of priority without a minimum single gift of $5 million included in the overall total.
- The lifetime giving levels include only giving to Athletics (excluding planned giving and ticket/parking money).
- The annual giving levels include all giving to Buckeye Club, per-seat contributions, Champions Fund, Athletics pledge payments ($100 overall pledges or more) and football premium seat payments (excluding planned giving and ticket/parking money).
- Giving Level and the minimum amounts required to reach each level are shown in the chart below.
Priority | Giving | WBB Season Ticket Holders |
|---|---|---|
Pay Forward Society | $5 Million + |
|
Lifetime Director's Level | $1 Million + | 5 |
Lifetime Excellence Level | $250,000+ | 14 |
Annual Giving |
| |
Hall of Fame Level | $50,000 |
|
All-American Level | $25,000 | |
Scholar-Athlete Level | $12,000 | 5 |
National Champions Level | $6,000 | 8 |
BIG Champions Level | $3,000 | 16 |
Gray Level | $1,500 | 17 |
Scarlet Level | $500 | 57 |
Horseshoe Level | $50 | 50 |
No Current Donor Level |
| 842 |
- *Pursuant to tax law changes in the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act of 2017, per-seat contributions and payments made for tickets and premium seating are not considered charitable gifts. Any gifts above the minimum per-seat contribution, which would go to the Champions Fund, would be considered charitable and are non-refundable.
Priority Points
Priority points are awarded for Athletics giving and other University giving (non-Athletics), as well as Alumni status, Letterwinner status, and consecutive years of season ticket purchase.
- Priority is first determined by Athletics giving level and then priority points within each level. Donors within each giving level are ranked based on their priority points.
- Points are calculated based on the chart below.
- For example, donors at the Pay Forward Society will receive first priority followed by Director’s Level, Excellence Level, Hall of Fame Level and on down.
- To view your current donor level, priority points, and ranking for the Women's Basketball Seat Selection, log into your Ohio State Buckeyes Ticket Account.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)
How does the seat selection process take place?
The Ohio State Basketball Virtual Venue allows season ticket holders to choose seats online during a specific window of time. Each season ticket holder will be assigned a selection window to log in to their account and choose their seats. The Virtual Venue will display real-time available inventory in the Schottenstein Center as well as a 3D view from the selected seats, and a Preview Mode will be available prior to your selection window opening. Selection windows will be assigned based on giving level to Athletics and then priority points within each giving level. Ticket holders in the highest giving level will select first. Seat selection windows will open every 15 minutes and may include up to 15 accounts per window. While selection windows will begin only during business hours, the online seat selection system will be available 24/7 until all windows close. You may select seats at any time after your window opens until the published ending date, but the group immediately following yours in priority order may begin selecting seats when their subsequent windows open.
Why do I have to select a seat?
This process will give season ticket holders the opportunity to select their seats in a transparent and convenient way and take ownership of their seating assignment. Each season ticket holder will be able to establish their own preferences (low or high row, aisle, or middle seat, etc.) and choose accordingly. Because of the loss of some seating due to a new scoring table configuration, as well as the introduction of per-seat contributions on some seats, having all season ticket holders select new seats is the most fair and equitable solution.
What if I’m happy with my current seats – can I skip the seat selection process?
The seat selection process requires all season ticket holders to choose their seat location(s) based on their priority ranking. Because of the loss of some seating due to a new scoring table configuration, as well as the introduction of per-seat contributions on some seats, having all season ticket holders select new seats is the most fair and equitable solution. If your current seats are available when your seat selection window opens, you will be able to select them again.
How will I be notified about my seat selection window?
Season ticket holders will be sent seat selection window information via email in July 2026 which will include step-by-step instructions for selecting seats online.. To ensure you receive all important renewal and seat selection information, please keep your email address up to date with the Athletics Ticket Office.
Will I have to select my seats every season?
Seat locations selected for the 2026-27 season will be retained annually as long as the seats and corresponding per-seat contributions are renewed by the published deadline. In subsequent seasons, you will be given the option to review available inventory and potentially choose different seat locations, but it will not be required.
How do I improve my ranking?
The best way to improve your ranking within each giving level is to make your contributions to the Buckeye Club (per-seat contributions and contributions to the Champions Fund) by June 30, 2026. Your priority points ranking within each giving level as of June 30, 2026, will determine the order in which you will choose your seats. To view your current donor level, priority points, and ranking for the Women's Basketball Seat Selection, log into your Ohio State Buckeyes Ticket Account. If you are interested in increasing your support of Ohio State Athletics or for more information on accruing and/or improving your giving level and priority points, please contact the Buckeye Club via email at buckeyeclub@osu.edu or by phone at (614) 292-9908.
How do I obtain handicap accessible seats or seats needed because of mobility issues?
Season ticket holders will be asked about special seating needs during the season ticket renewal process. All individuals requesting disability seating will be required to submit a Disability Needs Form indicating their specific need. Individuals requiring seating in wheelchair accessible rows or specific seating to meet other disability needs, AND who have submitted a Disability Needs Form, will see available accessible seating inventory upon logging into their Ohio State Buckeyes account. Once your Disability Needs Form has been received, your account will be properly noted to indicate that you qualify to select accessible seating. If you need additional assistance selecting seats that best accommodate your needs, please contact the ticket office via phone at 1-800-GO-BUCKS (462-8257) after your selection window has opened.
What if I want to sit with a group of people?
With the online seat selection process, each account holder is given an appointment for seating based on their respective priority ranking. Any groups wanting to sit together will need to coordinate their selection windows and pick seats together when the last person in the group’s window opens.
Example:
Jane Buckeye’s selection window opens August 5th at 2pm. Joe Buckeye’s selection window opens August 6th at 11am. If Jane and Joe want to sit together, they would need to wait until Joe’s selection window opens before selecting their seats.
If I am a new season ticket holder, when will I select my seats?
For the 2026-27 season, new season ticket holders will select their seats after all renewing season ticket holders have selected. Seat selection windows will be determined based upon giving level and then priority points as of June 30, 2026. Accounts with identical point totals will be assigned randomly within the selection windows corresponding to their point total.
Is there an option to select my seats if I do not own a computer/tablet?
Yes. You can always ask a family member or friend to help you with this process. Or feel free to contact the Athletics Ticket Office at 1-800-GO-BUCKS (462-8257) for assistance.
What happens if I do not select seats during my selection window?
If you do not choose seats by the end of the seat selection process, your seats will be assigned by the Athletics Ticket Office, based on your priority, from the seats that remain available. You may not receive the same seats as the previous season if you do not select seats during your window, and may receive a seat location that is less desirable than the seats that would be available during your window.
Are per-seat contributions charitable?
Pursuant to tax law changes in the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act of 2017, per-seat contributions are not considered charitable gifts. Any gift to the Champions Fund above the per-seat contribution amount would be considered charitable.
If I pay a per-seat contribution for specific seats and there is no availability remaining in that area when I select my seats, can I request a refund?
Per-seat contributions and season ticket payments will be refundable, but any charitable contributions to the Buckeye Club (contributions to the Champions Fund above the required per-seat contribution amount) are non-refundable. Please note that paying the per-seat contribution for a specific seating area does not guarantee seats in that area will be available when you seat selection window opens.
