
Soccer Teams Earn Academic Recognition

United Soccer Coaches Honor Buckeyes with 2024-25 Team Academic Award
COLUMBUS, Ohio – Both the Ohio State men's and women's soccer programs were honored with 2024-25 Team Academic Awards by the United Soccer Coaches prior to the start of the 2025 season for both programs.
The men's soccer program earned a team grade-point average of 3.21 while winning the Big Ten regular season and postseason tournament titles in 2024.
Brian Maisonneuve's Buckeyes also advanced to the 2024 College Cup and finished the record-breaking season with an overall record of 16-2-4.
The 2025 season gets underway with an exhibition contest against Notre Dame Saturday at Jesse Owens Memorial Stadium in Columbus. Match time is set for 8 p.m.
Lori Walker-Hock guided the 2024 Buckeyes to an overall record of 14-6-3 while the team posted a GPA of 3.65 to earn USC academic recognition.
The Buckeyes went 2-1 in the 2024 NCAA Tournament and 3-2 overall in postseason play.
The team travels to Morgantown, West Virginia, Wednesday for a noon game to open 2025 exhibition play.
