The No. 20 men’s soccer team is 3-0-1 after defeating UNLV, 3-2, and SIU-Edwardsville, 4-0, in the 2024 Wolstein Classic. The Buckeyes took second to Dayton in the tournament based on goal differential.

The field hockey team, nationally ranked at No. 14, won its first two games of the season this weekend: 6-1 over No. 20 Albany powered by a Makenna Webster hat trick, and 4-1 over Bucknell.



The No. 16 women’s soccer team is 3-0-1 so far after playing to a 1-all tie against No. 21 South Carolina and defeating Ashland, 4-1, last week at Jesse Owens Memorial Stadium.




Women’s volleyball is 2-0 after defeating Florida International (25-22, 25-21, 25-14) and Northern Iowa (25-20, 22-25, 26-24, 29-27) in the Dayton Flyer Invitational. The match between host Dayton and Ohio State was ruled a no contest after two games because of playing conditions.

The men’s and women’s harriers started strong in their season opening races: the men placed first over seven other teams at the 55th Tommy Evans Invitational hosted by Akron at Silver Creek Cross Country Park in Norton, Ohio, with the women placing second in a 10-team field.




The No. 2 football team won its 25th consecutive season opener, 52-6, over Akron.
