COLUMBUS, Ohio – The American Volleyball Coaches Association announced its 2024 All-Region teams on Tuesday. Ohio State now falls into the Midwest region. Graduate opposite Emily Londot was selected to the all-region team for the fifth time in her career.
Earlier this month, Londot was selected to the All-Big Ten First Team for the fourth time in her career – her fifth time being an All-Big Ten selection. She was named Big Ten Player of the Week twice this season (Sept. 16 and Nov. 25) and was also selected to the Preseason All-Big Ten Team. Londot was named to the Dayton Flyer Invitational All-Tournament Team. In the 2024 PVF Draft, Londot was selected 10th overall by the Omaha Supernovas.
Londot played in 530 sets and 143 matches as a Buckeye over five seasons. She ranks second in program history in kills (2,228) and points (2,535.0), fifth in block assists (397), seventh in total blocks (422) and 10th in digs (1,275). She is only the second player in program history to reach 2,000 career kills, 2,000 career points and 1,000 career digs, doing so on Oct. 13, 2024. This season, Londot totaled at least 10 kills in every match and was the first non-setter in the country to record a triple double (15 kills, 11 digs and a career-high 10 blocks on Sept. 27 at USC). She wrapped up the regular season ranked fourth in the Big Ten with 4.36 kills/set (30th in the country), second with 510 total kills (15th in the country) and second with 5.09 points/set (21st in the country). Londot ranked among the top-20 in program history single-season records in all of those categories.
