If you could live anywhere, where would it be, and why?
Somewhere sunny year-round.
How many pairs of shoes do you have? Which are your favorite?
Too many to count … my flip flops are my favorite.
What is your favorite moment in your sport?
Going to the Quebec tournament.
What is your go-to snack?
Buffalo pretzel chips
Are you a coffee person? How do you take it?
Yes. Black coffee with a little honey.
What’s is your favorite dipping sauce?
Ranch
What was your first job?
A hockey ref for young kids.
What is your favorite holiday? Why?
Christmas. There’s nothing better than being with family on Christmas Day.
What is your favorite show to binge watch?
Arrow
Who has helped you the most in your sport?
My parents. They have been the best support system a kid could ask for and I’m not sure where I’d be without them.

Prior to Ohio State
- Skated four seasons in the NAHL, with last two in Shreveport
- In 2019-20, posted 24 points, including 21 assists, in 49 regular season games for the Mudbugs; Notched nine points (3g, 6a) in 49 games for Shreveport in 2018-19 and also skated in 10 playoff games
- 2020 NAHL Top Prospect selection
- Played in 52 games for the Brookings Blizzard in 2017-18, posting a 2-13-15 line; also skated in a game for the Topeka RoadRunners that year
- Began NAHL career with Topeka in 2016-17, with 12 points, including 10 assists, in 41 games played
- Played AAA hockey with Compuware and Portland Jr. Pirates
- 2016 USPHL All-Star
- Graduated from Total Package Hockey Center of Excellence in 2017
Personal
- Son of Tom, a mechanic, and Shannon, a loan officer
- An only child
- Plans to major in business
- Hails from the same hometown as Buckeye senior Grant Gabriele
- Was teammates with Buckeye CJ Regula in Shreveport and spent time playing with (and rooming with) Buckeye Ryan Snowden; Plays on same summer league team as Buckeye Dalton Messina
- Started playing hockey at age 7; followed numerous family members into the game
- Family members who played in the NHL include William McCreary (Rangers, Red Wings, Canadiens, Blues), Keith McCreary (Canadiens, Penguins, Atlanta Flames), Ron Attwell (Blues), Greg Theberge (Capitals) and Bob Attwell (Rockies), as well as former Providence Friar and pro player Billy McCreary
- On why he chose Ohio State: “Ohio State’s academics and athletics are outstanding. Along with that, the entire staff made me feel so at home over the course of my visit. The excellence on and off the ice paired with the great people around the hockey program made my decision very easy.”
- Favorite hockey player is Nick Lidstrom: “Being from Michigan, I always got to see him play live and he was so good in every area of his game. He was a player I always found myself idolizing growing up.”
