Ohio State field hockey sophomore Mara Hunter battled through cancer to fulfill her dream of becoming a Buckeye.
Ohio State sophomore Mara Hunter was a star at nearby Olentangy Liberty High School. She was born and raised a Buckeye and she wanted nothing more than to wear the scarlet and gray.
In the spring of 2015, after a tremendous sophomore season for the Patriots, she fell ill and it was soon discovered that she had Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia.
