Cross Country’s Connor, Schulist Win Scarlet and Gray Invit. – Ohio State Buckeyes

COLUMBUS, Ohio – Junior Ian Connor (Lexington, Ohio) captured first-place honors at the OSU Scarlet and Gray Invitational to lead the Buckeyes over visiting Ashland and Youngstown State. Connor notched a time of 25:21 with teammate David Gonzalez (Sr., Bolingbrook, Ill.) only six seconds behind to place second at the OSU Golf Course.
Alexis Schulist (Sr., Muskegon, Mich.) came from behind Ashland’s Katy Saul to capture first place (18:36) and Karyn Kelly (So., Westlake, Ohio) followed in fourth place with a time of 19:06. However, Youngstown and Ashland both notched four top ten times to tie for the team title.
The Buckeyes will hit the road next weekend to compete at the Miami (O.) Fall Classic on Sept. 24.
