Guard Jamie Lewis Earns Invite To WNBA Pre-Draft Camp – Ohio State Buckeyes

%^$COLUMBUS, Ohio – Senior guard Jamie Lewis (Oak Hill, Ohio) will attempt to become the third Buckeye to join the women’s basketball professional ranks, participating in the 2001 WNBA pre-draft camp this weekend in Chicago, Ill.%^$
%^$ The camp will be held Friday and Saturday at the Moody Bible College Solheim Center for 100 selected collegiate seniors and international players. WNBA general managers and coaches will observe the camp. Draft day is April 20.%^$
%^$ Lewis, 5-5, helped guide the Buckeyes to their first-ever postseason title with an MVP performance in the Women’s National Invitation Tournament (WNIT). Lewis averaged 18.2 ppg and 4.0 rpg, and recorded a tournament record 39 assists (7.8 apg) in the five-game stretch.%^$
%^$ The Second Team All-Big Ten selection capped her Ohio State career 18th on the scoring ladder, compiling 1,034 points. She is the only Buckeye to distribute more than 600 assists, establishing an OSU career record 643 and single-season mark of 257.%^$
%^$ Buckeyes Katie Smith and Adrienne Johnson are current members of the WNBA. Smith closed her second season with the Minnesota Lynx as the No. 2 scorer in the league (20.2 ppg) while Johnson, in her fifth season, was the No. 2 scorer (13.6 ppg) on the Orlando Miracle roster.
