COLUMBUS, Ohio – The 13th annual Buckeye PRO-AM Golf Classic will be held at Ohio State’s Scarlet Course on Monday, July 27. Former Buckeyes and Tour professionals Karin Mundinger and Chris Perry will serve as the chairpersons for this year’s tournament.
Other professional golfers participating in the tournament are John Cook, Ted Tryba, Suzy Green, Missy McGeorge, Ed Sneed, Meg Mallon, Tom Pernice, Amy Langhals, Bob Lohr, Bruce Soulsby, Kurt Sanders, Jody Sams and Tamie Blanks.
Each pro will team up with four amateurs in the tournament’s best ball format.
During the past 11 years, the pro-am has raised more than $750,000 for a number of projects at the OSU Golf Course, as well as for endowments for athletic grants-in-aid for the men’s and women’s golf teams. Course improvements have included a new irrigation system and a new driving range.
“The Pro-Am goes a long way toward helping with endowments and course improvements, and we have a great time hosting it,” said Ohio State men’s golf coach Jim Brown. “It’s a great way for our former golfers to come back to campus and give a little back to their school.”
