Yoder Finishes Third in All-Around as Buckeyes Compete at NCAA Championships

CHICAGO, Ill. – Members of the fifth-ranked Ohio State men’s gymnastics team competed at the NCAA Finals Saturday night at UIC Pavilion. Junior Alec Yoder finished third in the all-around, garnering All-America honors with an 82.631.

Yoder and Sean Melton each were named All-Americans after Melton recorded an 81.498 in the all-around. In addition, Yoder placed fourth on pommel horse at 14.400 and seventh on parallel bars at 14.366. Sean Junior Neighbarger tied for 10th on vault with a 14.500.

Melton, the 2018 Nissen-Emery Award winner, concludes is career as a 10-time All-American and seven-time Big Ten champion. Yoder wraps up his junior year as the CGA Event Specialist of the year and MVP.
