COLUMBUS, Ohio — After a stellar month on the ice, Jincy Dunne has earned November’s Western Collegiate Hockey Association Defenseman of the Month award, Powered by GoodWood Hockey, conference officials announced on Wednesday.
Dunne tied the WCHA defenseman point lead for the month with seven points, all from assists. Her 1.17 points/assists-per-game led all WCHA defensemen as well.
This award caps off a banner month for Dunne where she won the first WCHA Defenseman of the Week award of her career. She followed that up with another WCHA Defenseman of the Week award, becoming the only player to win back-to-back WCHA DOTW awards this season.
The Buckeyes are off this weekend and return to the ice for their final series of 2018 next weekend when Mercyhurst comes to town. Puck drop for the series opener is set for 3:07 p.m. on Saturday, December 15 at the OSU Ice Rink.
