COLUMBUS, Ohio The Ohio State University Alumni Association will host a Buckeye Bash in conjunction with Buckeyes’ Fiesta Bowl appearance against Texas.

The Bash will be held from 2:30-4 p.m. (Mountain Time) on Sunday, Jan. 4, at Tempe Beach Park, 54 W. Rio Salado Parkway, Tempe, Ariz. Tempe Beach Park is at the corner of Mill Avenue and Rio Salado Parkway.

Alumni Association president and CEO Archie Griffin, Ohio State football coach Jim Tressel, and other special guests will speak at the Bash. The event will also feature performances by Brutus, the Ohio State cheerleaders, and the Ohio State Marching Band.

Merchandise, food, and beverages will be available at the Fiesta Bowl Buckeye Bash. The Bash is hosted by the Alumni Association and Ohio State’s Department of Athletics. DSW is the presenting sponsor. AT&T, The Columbus Dispatch, and Liberty Mutual are also sponsoring the event.

The Association last hosted Bash at Tempe Beach Park in 2006 and drew 20,000 fans to the event. The Bash at Chase Field in Phoenix in 2007 drew more than 37,000 fans.

Ohio State Fiesta Bowl Tickets On Sale Now! 
The general public may purchase Ohio State Fiesta Bowl Tickets by calling 1-800-GO BUCKS. The 2009 Fiesta Bowl will be played at the University of Phoenix Stadium (73,000) Jan. 5, 2009. Ohio State will face the University of Texas. Game time is 8 p.m. EST.

Game tickets are $155. There is no limit. Fans may also purchase tickets to College Football’s Biggest Party for $20. Parking passes also are available for $30. Tickets will be mailed prior to the Christmas Holiday or left at will call.
