
Ohio State Concludes Regular Season at Wisconsin Sunday

COLUMBUS, Ohio – The Ohio State men’s soccer team will conclude the 2018 regular season at Wisconsin at 4 p.m. ET Sunday at the McClimon Complex in Madison, Wis. The match vs. the Badgers (8-5-2, 5-2 B1G) will be streamed on BTN Plus.
NOTES ON THE BUCKEYES
• Ohio State (1-13-2, 0-6-1 B1G) hits the road in league play for the fourth time this fall.
• Last time out, the Buckeyes were edged by No. 2 Indiana, 1-0, in the home finale Wednesday at Jesse Owens Memorial Stadium. Parker Siegfried made a season-high seven saves vs. the Hoosiers.
• The Buckeyes have had nine members make their OSU debuts this season. The Buckeyes have a young attacking group of players, including freshman Xavier Green, redshirt freshman Devyn Etling and sophomores Joshua Jackson-Ketchup and Mitch Bergman. Redshirt junior Jake Scheper has also made his OSU debut this fall.
• Head coach Brian Maisonneuve claimed his first career win in a 1-0 victory over Hofstra Aug. 26 in Columbus.
• Maisonneuve was associate head coach at Indiana University, guiding the team to the 2012 NCAA national title. He was a member of the Columbus Crew from 1996-2004.
• The Buckeyes are averaging 8.4 shots per game and 0.44 goals per game this season.
• Devyn Etling leads the team with three goals for six points, while Jake Scheper has five points on one goal and three assists. Joshua Jackson-Ketchup, Michael Prosuk and Jack Holland have also scored goals this fall.
• Siegfried is 1-13-2 overall with 56 saves in 16 matches.
NOTING THE BADGERS
Wisconsin is 8-5-2 overall and 5-2 in Big Ten play. The Badgers are coming off back-to-back wins in Big Ten play, defeating Michigan, 1-0, Oct. 19 and came from behind to beat Northwestern, 2-1, in overtime last Wednesday in Evanston, Ill. Andrew Akindele leads the team with 10 points (3g, 4a) and Noah Melick has nine points (4g, 1a). Goalkeeper Dean Cowdroy is 8-5-2 with a 0.93 GAA and 52 saves with six shutouts this fall.
THE SERIES
This will be the 36th meeting between Ohio State and Wisconsin. The Scarlet and Gray hold a 17-15-3 record vs. the Badgers.
