COLUMBUS, Ohio – Alex Kobelt and James Trotter’s run to the final ended in defeat on Friday.
In a hard-fought match, Kobelt and Trotter fell short against Jack Findel-Hawkins and Korey Lovett 6-4, 4-6, 7-10.

COLUMBUS, Ohio – Buckeye tandem Alex Kobelt and James Trotter have sealed their spot in the ITF Columbus Futures Doubles title match.
Kobelt and Trotter were victorious on Thanksgiving day with a 7-6(6), 6-4 win over Ian Dempster and Boris Arias in the semifinals.
In the final, Kobelt and Trotter will take on Jack Findel-Hawkins and Korey Lovett, who took down Kyle Seelig and Tim Seibert in their semifinal match 6-3, 6-0.
In the singles main draw, Kyle Seelig was defeated by Jack Findel-Hawkins 6(2)-7, 4-6.

COLUMBUS, Ohio – An up and down day as two Buckeye tandems advance to the semifinals while Kyle Seelig moves on to the next round.
Kyle Seelig defeated Michael Geerts of Belgium on Wednesday in two sets, 6-1, 6-3. Seelig will next face Jack Findel-Hawkins in the quarterfinals.
Alex Kobelt and James Trotter advanced to the doubles semifinals on Wednesday when they took down Vasile-Alexandru Ghilea and Shahin Khaledan 4-6, 6-3, 10-6. The Buckeye duo face Ian Dempster and Boris Arias on Thursday.
Tim Seibert and Kyle Seelig will join Kobelt and Seelig in the semifinals after defeating Henry Craig and Mark Whitehouse 6-3, 2-6, 10-5 in the quarterfinals. Seibert/Seelig take on Jack Findel-Hawkins and Korey Lovett tomorrow.
John McNally fell in the round of 16 to Roberto Ortego-Olmedo of Spain 1-6, 2-6.
Cannon Kingsley was also defeated on Wednesday after a 6-3, 1-6, 5-7 loss to Jonathan Chang.

COLUMBUS, Ohio – A great day for Ohio State at the ITF Futures event on Tuesday as three Buckeyes advance to the next round in the singles main draw, while Seelig and Seibert move on in the doubles main draw.
John McNally took on fellow Buckeye Alex Kobelt in singles and defeated Kobelt 7-6(5), 7-5. On Wednesday McNally will face Roberto Ortega-Olmedo in the round of 16.
Cannon Kingsley also advanced to the round of 16 with an impressive win over Boris Butuija, defeating the Serbian 6-1, 3-6, 6-3 on Tuesday. Next up for the future Buckeye is Jonathan Chang.
Kyle Seelig joined McNally and Kingsley in the next round after his match with Adam Mihdawy was retired while Seelig led 5-0 in the first set. On Tuesday, Seelig will face Michael Geerts in the round of 16.
Seelig’s day wasnt over as he also advanced to the next round in the doubles main draw after Tim Seibert and Seelig defeated recently-signed Robert Cash and JJ Mercer.
Seelig and Seibert will take on Henry Craig and Mark Whitehouse on Wednesday.

COLUMBUS, Ohio – An up and down day for the Buckeyes, but James Trotter and Alex Kobelt have advanced to the next round in the doubles main draw.
Unfortunately, Tim Seibert fell to Henry Craig in the opening match 6-3, 6-4. Seibert’s tournament however is not over as he competes in the doubles competition alongside Kyle Seelig.
John McNally and future Buckeye Cannon Kingsley were also on the wrong end of their match as they were defeated by Vasile-Alexandru Ghilea and Shahin Khaledan 4-6, 6(5)-7.
Freshman James Trotter and Alex Kobelt picked up a win in the opening round when they defeated John-Paul Fruttero and Ronnie Schneider 7-6(5), 4-6, 10-8.
On Tuesday, John McNally will take on Alex Kobelt in singles, Cannon Kingsley matches up with Boris Butujila while the tandem of Seelig/Seibert face the pairing of JJ Mercer and Robert Cash.

COLUMBUS, Ohio – The ITF Pro Circuit USA F33 Futures event kicks off on Monday at the Indoor Tennis Centre at Ohio State.
Five current and three future Buckeyes will be competing at the Futures event this week. John McNally, Kyle Seelig, Alex Kobelt and Tim Seibert are all competing in the singles main draw. Blue chip recruit Cannon Kingsley, who signed his NLI last week with Ohio State, will also compete in the competition.
Alex Kobelt qualified for the singles main draw over the weekend defeating Nick Lagaev and Boris Arias in the process.
In doubles play, Ohio State will have the tandems of Alex Kobelt/James Trotter, McNally/Kingsley, and Seelig/Seibert. In addition, fellow Blue chip recruits Robert Cash and JJ Mercer, who signed their national letters of intent last week with the Buckeyes, will pair up for the competition.
The Pro Circuit will begin on Monday at 10 am EST with Tim Seibert taking on Henry Craig in singles in the opening round.
