COLUMBUS, Ohio – The Ohio State women’s golf team travels to San Marcos, Texas, for the Jim West Challenge starting Sunday. The Buckeyes will participate in the 15-team event with 36 holes played Sunday and 18 holes played Monday.

Ohio State earned a 16th-place finish at the Ruth’s Chris Tar Heel Invitational Oct. 14 at UNC Finley Golf Course in Chapel Hill, N.C.
LEE NAMED B1G GOLFER OF THE WEEK
Jaclyn Lee was named Big Ten Golfer of the Week, the conference office announced Sept. 19. The award is the fourth Big Ten weekly honor of Lee’s career.
Lee earned stroke play medalist honors at the East and West Match Play Challenge at University Ridge Golf Course in Ann Arbor, Mich. The Calgary, Alberta, native posted a 4-under 69-71 through 36 holes of stroke play. Lee then went 2-0 in match play, topping UC Davis’ Samantha Hutchinson, 5&4, and Oregon State’s Susie Cavanagh, 5&3, to help the Buckeyes to a third-place finish in the event.
HESSION ENTERING 28TH SEASON
Buckeye head coach Therese Hession is entering her 28th season in Columbus. Hession has led the Buckeyes to 25 NCAA Regionals, 17 NCAA Championships appearances and 10 Big Ten championships in her 28 seasons. The seven-time Big Ten Coach of the Year guided the Buckeyes to another NCAA appearance last season.
This past June after completing her 27th season as the head coach of the Ohio State women’s golf team, Hession was promoted to director of golf for both the men’s and women’s programs.
In addition, Stacy Snider enters her third season as an assistant on the Ohio State coaching staff. Snider, who has five years of Division I head coaching experience, was a two-time All-Big Ten selection at Michigan State (2001, 2002) and former professional golfer.
