Los Angeles, CA – Only two events took place during the first day of the Power 5 Trailblazer Challenge. The Buckeyes had a presence in both the hammer throw and discus.
Seniors Aaron Zedella and Max Seipel both competed in the men’s hammer throw. Zedella snagged 4th place with a throw of 62.81m. Seipel rang in at 7th with a throw of 58. 17.
Lyne’a Diller made an appearance in the women’s discus. Diller’s heave hailed in at 45.13m, landing a 6th place spot in a heat of nine athletes.
Buckeyes Chance Ehrnsberger and Seipel rounded out the events for the day in the men’s discus. Ehrnsberger earned 7th (49.70m), while Seipel took 10th (45.42m).
The Buckeyes will be back in action tomorrow to finish out their campaign at USC. Tomorrow’s running events are schedule to begin at 3 p.m. ET.
