💯 Years of Ohio Stadium: A Digital Celebration

OhioStateBuckeyes.com, the official website of the Ohio State Department of Athletics, has launched a tribute microsite dedicated to celebrating 100 years of Ohio Stadium.

Additionally, Buckeye social media channels will engage with the best fans in the land in the digital space throughout the summer leading into the 2022 season with features, imagery, videos and interactive content.

Monday, the microsite went live and houses the following content and features for fans to enjoy:

• an interactive timeline highlighting major time points across the history of Ohio Stadium from groundbreaking to the first game to the largest crowds, renovations and more.

• Each of the 10 decades also are featured in breakout sections with each containing its own dedicated timeline of major moments that have helped make the stadium such a monumental structure.

• In addition, each decade page includes photo galleries from the time period, fans can watch a featured game from the era and view covers of old game programs.

• The Shoe 100 — The People. In addition to highlighting the countless special moments that have happened in Ohio Stadium, the site recognizes those truly iconic individuals who have helped make The Shoe a national landmark.

• Also in the video category, fans can watch the WOSU documentary “Birth of Ohio Stadium” and learn all the intricate details that entailed designing and building such a massive structure in during the early 1920s.
• Fans also can find a link to purchase 100-year merchandise and special 2022 commemorative souvenir ticket information.
• An interactive social media element also is upcoming later this summer where YOU – the Best Fans in The Land – will have the opportunity to share your favorite photos and memories with us and we’ll place them on the Ohio Stadium video board, online and on social media.
