The Ohio State wrestling program had a good season on the mat and just as good of a season off it as 14 wrestlers earned Academic All-Big Ten honors and 19 were named OSU Scholar-Athletes.

To be eligible for Academic All-Big Ten selection, students must be on a varsity team (as verified by being on the official squad list), have been enrolled full time at the institution for a minimum of 12 months and carry a cumulative grade-point average of 3.0 or higher. To receive the OSU Scholar Athlete distinction, student-athletes must carry a 3.0 or better grade-point average for the academic year.

Fritz Schierl led the team by picking up his fifth consecutive OSU Scholar-Athlete award. He is also a four-time Academic All-Big Ten performer. Kaleb Romero and Zach Steiner each claimed OSU Scholar-Athlete honors for the fourth time and Ethan Smith is now a three-time honoree who graduated this spring with his degree in Consumer and Family Financial Services.
