COLUMBUS, Ohio Lou Rosselli, third-year assistant coach for the Ohio State wrestling team, spent last week working with the U.S. National team as the squad competed at the 2009 Pan American Championships in Maracaibo, Venezuela April 23. The U.S. tallied 58 points behind a gold-winning performance by Aaron Sieracki of the U.S. Army at 84 kg/185 lbs., but was unable to top Cuba’s 66 points.

“We wrestled well, but still need some improvements in a couple of areas,” Rosselli said. “The U.S. team had great effort in their matches, but lost a few in some technical situations.”

Host Venezuela finished third with 53 points, followed by Colombia in fourth with 36 points and the Dominican Republic in fifth with 35 points.
