COLUMBUS, Ohio The OhioState women’s volleyball team was a perfect 4-0 at the Purdue Spring Tournament last weekend in West Lafayette, Ind. The Buckeyes, in pool play at the Intercollegiate Athletic Facility, defeated Western Michigan, 2-0 (25-16, 25-23) and DePaul, 2-0 (25-21, 25-22).


Advancing to the pool play winners bracket, OhioState defeated St. Louis, 2-0 (25-22, 26-24) and Valparaiso, 2-1 (22-25, 25-22, 16-14) to win the tournament.


“I thought we found ways to win this weekend, it wasn’t always pretty, but in the Big Ten season you have to grind for every point and every game, too,” Geoff Carlston, head coach, said. “With a line up we had never played, we competed pretty solidly all day.


OhioState continues spring practice for the next three weeks.
