COLUMBUS, Ohio The Ohio State women’s track and field team competed in the third day of the Sea Ray Relays on Friday in Knoxville, Tenn. It was the first day of competition for the Buckeyes.
Veronica Jatsek took fifth in the hammer throw with a toss of 195 feet, 3 inches. Former Buckeye and current volunteer coach Ketaruh Lofton took third competing unattached with a toss of 205-9.
In the 400-meter dash, Jenna Griffin took ninth with a time of 54.88. She was closely followed by Ayrizanna Favours who finished 10th in a time of 55.01. Kesha Brooks took 17th in the 3,000-meter run with a time of 10:59.20.
The rain-shortened day forces a big day on Saturday that will start at 8 a.m. Full results are posted on www.utsports.com.
