The Ohio State women’s swimming and diving team opened thier season with a loss to Ohio University 113-130. The Buckeyes competed for the lead throughout the meet but could not grasp it.

%^$OSU women divers captured the first, second, and third places in both the one and three-meter diving events. Carrie Ziebarth (Sr., Auburn, Wash.) took first in the one-meter competion with 282.60 points and 276.525 points gave Jillian Cicione (Fr., Plantation, Fla.) first place in the three-meter event.

%^$Kristin Sendrowski (So.,Garden City, N.Y.) and Stacey Lowery (Fr., Mechanicsburg, Pa.) took first and second places, respectively in the 200 butterfly. The team of Kristin Sander (So., Cincinnati, Ohio), Sarah Nigh (Jr., Bucyrus, Ohio), Sendrowski and Heidi Hazen (Sr., Mentor, Ohio), took first in teh 400 freestyle relay with a time of 3:35.07.
