COLUMBUS, Ohio – The Ohio State women’s swimming and diving team (4-7) were defeated by No. 13 Michigan, 132-106, at the Mike Peppe Aquatic Center. OSU is still in search of their first Big Ten win.

The Buckeyes won five of the 13 events. Johanna Baran (Sr., Danville, CA/ San Ramon Valley) won the 200 Breaststroke with a time of 2:29.49. Other winners were, Amanda Treleaven (Fr., Colonel Light, Australia/Norwood) in the 200 backstroke with a time of 2:04.79, Kristin Sendroski (Jr., Garden City, NY/H. Frank Carey) took first place in the 200 butterfly with a time of 2:05.35. The Buckeyes 400 freestyle relay team of, Lindsay Goodson (Fr., San Ramon, CA/ Carondelet), Treleaven, Kristin Sander (Jr., Cincinnati, Ohio/Mother of Mercy), and Amanda Messmer (Jr., Worthington, Ohio/Bowling Green) took first with a time of 3:37.10.

On the boards, Natalia Diea (Jr., Austin, Texas/Texas University) placed first place in the 3-meter dive.

The Buckeyes play host to Miami (Ohio) Friday, 5 p.m. in a co-ed meet at the Mike Peppe Aquatic Center.
