COLUMBUS, Ohio The Ohio State women’s soccer team blanked Cincinnati, 2-0, Sunday in an exhibition soccer match at Jesse Owens Memorial Stadium. The win improved Ohio State’s record to 2-1 on the spring season, with wins over UC and Tennessee (3-0) and a 1-0 loss to North Carolina.

Lara Dickenamnn, who will graduate this spring but is competing with the Buckeyes to stay prepared for upcoming Swiss National Team duties, scored off a clear from goalkeeper Lauren Robertson. It was Dickenmann’s third goal of the exhibition season. Emily Esbrook, who will be a sophomore this fall, also scored for Ohio State off an assist from Amanda Ball.

Ohio State has two more matches this week. The team will travel to Dayton Friday for a 7:30 p.m. game against the Flyers and then compete at 4 p.m. Sunday (April 13) against the U17 Canadian National Team in Morgantown, W.Va.

West Virginia comes to Columbus for the Buckeyes’ final home exhibition game: April 20 at 1 p.m. Coach Lori Walker and the team will then conclude spring drills with a 1 p.m. game April 26 against Ohio in Athens.
