COLUMBUS, Ohio The OhioState women’s lacrosse team lost 22-12 at North Carolina Friday night.


The Buckeyes got three goals from Kelly Haggerty and two goals each from Brittney Zerhusen, Kristen Slahor and Jessica Patane. Kristen Gilwee took the loss in goal.


North Carolina never trailed in the match and held a 9-4 halftime lead. The game started an hour earlier than scheduled to avoid severe weather threatening the area. The Buckeyes, now 7-4, face Maryland Sunday afternoon in another contest to be played in Chapel Hill as part of the ACC-ALC Challenge.
