COLUMBUS, Ohio The OhioState women’s lacrosse team lost 21-6 to Maryland Sunday afternoon in a game played at Chapel Hill, N.C., as part of the ACC-ALC conference challenge.


Jessica Patane scored two goals for OhioState, while Kristen Slahor, the NCAA assist leader, added three assists. Maghan Beaudrault, Rachel Hawes and Brittney Zerhusen also scored for OSU.


Zerhusen led the Buckeyes with four ground balls, while Beaudrault recorded three. In goal, Kristen Gilwee recorded six saves and Annie Carruthers had one.


The Buckeyes, now 7-5, return to action Friday with an American Lacrosse Conference game at Vanderbilt.
