Sunday, April 6

Hello from Carmel! Today was a gorgeous day. The weather was much better than expected and we didn’t even have to wear layers on the back nine. We are playing at Crooked Stick, which is a well known course that has held several major championships, including the 2007 US Women’s Amateur this past summer. I was lucky enough to play in it and am very excited to be back!  Today, we started off our day with a late breakfast and were able to have a relaxing morning. Then we made our way to the course for our official practice round. This week we have six players so we split into two groups. I played with Carling (Coffing) and Haley (Brown), our two seniors. We had a great time and were able to hit several practice shots throughout the round. The course is in wonderful shape. The greens are extremely quick and the fairways are a bit wet. After our practice round we hit a few extra balls and putts. By then its was past 7 p.m. and we are hungry. We went to Red Robin for dinner, had a quick meeting and are finally ready for bed. Now I’m ready to dream of chip-ins and birdies! Goodnight and GO BUCKS!

Monday, April 7

Hello Buckeye fans! What a day. We started off our morning to a 36-hole day with a nice healthy breakfast at the hotel. Then we made our way to the course by 7:30 a.m. to start warming up. It was a little chilly early off but warmed up to be a beautiful day. We teed off at 9 a.m. and played all day. It was a great day of golf. The course is starting to dry out and the greens were very quick. Currently, we are in third place behind Purdue and UNLV. Tomorrow we will play with both of them and start off on the first four holes. I am looking forward to this pairing, especially playing with Purdue. It will give us a preview for the Big Ten Championships. Well, after a long day it’s time to dream of more chip-ins and birdies! Goodnight and GO BUCKS!
