What is it like playing in your hometown?
“It’s great playing at home because sometimes I’ll see random people I know in the stands. My parents always come and a lot of my other family members come out, too. It makes it easy for my family to visit me and for me to go home for the holidays.”

Do you have any siblings?
“I have a sister who is 6 years old and she enjoys coming to my games. She’s been coming to my games since high school. Sometimes she falls asleep but she’s really proud of me. I don’t think she is going to play basketball but she is going to be an athlete. Right now she’s playing soccer.”

What did you learn as a freshman last year?
“I learned a lot. In high school I knew I was going to play every game. So last year I learned the value of working hard every day. You need to work hard and make others better to get playing time because there are girls just as good as you and better. You have to be on the top of your game in the gym and in the classroom.”

How do you feel this season?
“I’m feeling really good in the gym this year because the things I heard our coaches saying all last year, I have been working on in the offseason. I’ve been working on my shooting, speed and defense because that is what will get me in the game.”

What goals have you set for yourself this season?
“I’m hoping to get some minutes and contribute to the team this year. It would be great if we could win another Big Ten title, too. This year it is really important for us to take it one game at a time and build up to be at our best for the NCAA tournament because that is where we need to make a statement.”

What are you majoring in at Ohio State?
“I’m undecided right now but I am leaning towards business. I think I want to get into marketing and I want to be a top model.”

What advice did you give the freshmen this year?
“Just to play and work hard because coach said he is going to play his best people.”
