Columbus, Ohio – The tip-off time for Ohio State’s Dec.11 game at Southern California has changed to 5:30 p.m. (EST) after Fox Sports Net selected the game for regional broadcast. In addition, Ohio State’s game at Minnesota Feb. 16 has been picked up by Fox Sports North.
The Trojans serve as the second leg of three consecutive Ohio State opponents that qualified for the 2005 NCAA tournament. Prior to the game at USC, the Buckeyes travel to Boston College, which made the second round of the NCAA tournament, Dec. 3 and return home Dec. 15 to face LSU, a national semifinalist last season.
USC tied for second in the PAC-10 under first-year head coach Mark Trakh in 2004-05 and were led by a balanced scoring attack that saw seven players average seven points or more per game. Brynn Cameron, a freshman All-PAC-10 honoree last season, led the Women of Troy with 9.8 points per game in 2004-05.
The USC and Minnesota (8 p.m.) games mark the sixth and seventh Ohio State contests scheduled for television broadcast in the 2005-06 season. The LSU at Ohio State game will be aired on ESPN at 7:30 p.m., while the Jan. 9 home date vs. Oklahoma (7 p.m.) and the Feb. 20 home game vs. Michigan State (7:30 p.m.) are slated for ESPN2 telecasts. Two Buckeye road games also will be featured on television. Comcast Sports Net – Chicago will carry the Jan. 1 game at Purdue (1 p.m.) and the Jan. 22 date at Michigan State (1 p.m.).
