COLUMBUS, Ohio – The Ohio State women’s track and field program completed day two of the season-opening Jim Green Invite hosted by the University of Kentucky. The Buckeyes claimed six top five finishes and sophomore Adelaide Aquilla registered a new personal best throw in shot put (16.77-meters) claiming the title.
In addition to its success in the shot put on Saturday, Ohio State also had an impressive showing in the 3,000-meter run. Two Buckeyes – senior Lainey Studebaker and freshman Allie Guagenti – were among the top four finishers, with Studebaker taking first place.
While no team scores were kept, Ohio State did stack up well against a field of 17 other teams, three on which were in-state foes: Cincinnati, Dayton and Xavier.
