This weekend when the Ohio State women’s hockey team hosts its final home series of the season, the Buckeyes also will be gathering toiletry items to “Stock the Shelves” at Community Kitchen, Inc.

Items requested by the organization include:

Shampoo and Conditioner Razors and Shaving Cream Combs and Brushes Foot Powder Toothbrushes and Toothpaste Deodorant Lotions Baby Care Needs

Games begin at 7 p.m. Friday and 4 p.m. Saturday against Minnesota State at the OSU Ice Rink and admission is FREE. Last season, the Buckeyes gathered over 30 bags of donated items for the Huckleberry House and are looking to surpass that number!

Community Kitchen, Inc. is a local non-profit located at 640 South Ohio Ave. in Columbus. Their Mission Statement:

We believe that all people deserve the basic necessities of life, food, clothing, shelter, medical attention, and warmth. We assist those who are homeless, but our primary mission is to equip the marginally housed with resources and services to prevent homelessness. We offer assistance in ways that honor the dignity and respect of those in need.
