Buckeyes lose fourth consecutive round of competition to inclement weather
COLUMBUS, Ohio For the second consecutive day, the Liz Murphey Collegiate Classic was cancelled because of inclement weather. The Ohio State women’s golf team and the other 17 teams making up the field will play in an 18-hole event Sunday with a 9 a.m. shotgun start. Live scoring will be available on www.golfstat.com.
This is the fourth-consecutive round of tournament action the Buckeyes have lost to weather. Ohio State, ranked 28th in the latest Golfweek/Sagarin standings, has not played in a tournament since Feb. 16-17 at the Central District Invitational. The Pinehurst Challenge (March 2-3) was cancelled because of snow and cold conditions in Pinehurst, N.C.
