Buckeyes defeated by four strokes in 18-hole spring warm-up
COLUMBUS, Ohio The Ohio State women’s golf team prepared for its upcoming spring schedule with an 18-hole matchup against Big Ten foe Michigan State Sunday at the Fort Myers Challenge in Fort Myers, Fla.

The Buckeyes fell to the Spartans by four strokes with team scores of 310 to 306 on the par 72, 6,362-yard The Club at Renaissance. Laura Kueny, a junior on the Spartan squad, won the event with a round of 1-under 71.

Sophomore In Hong Lim led Ohio State with a 75, followed by freshman Victoria Villanueva who carded a 77. Also in the 70’s was senior Jessica Hauser with a score of 78.

Rounding out the Buckeyes were senior co-captain Gemma Webster (80), freshman Nara Shin (81) and junior co-captain Emma Jandel (82).

Up next, Ohio State opens tournament play by hosting the 14th-annual Northrop Grumman Regional Challenge, Feb. 9-11 in Palos Verdes, Calif.
