Weis, who earned his sport industry degree from Ohio State Sunday, had 122 points in his Buckeye career, with 40 goals and 28 assists, while skating in 136 games. The Freehold, New Jersey, native was an Honorable Mention All-Big Ten choice in 2018 after posting 37 points on 12 goals and 25 assists in 37 games for the Buckeyes. He also earned league all-freshman team honors.
His final goal was a memorable one, notching the overtime winner vs. Michigan in the Big Ten Tournament semifinals. Weis suffered an injury the following week, which kept him out of the Big Ten Tournament championship game and away from game action as the Buckeyes reached the NCAA Frozen Four.
In Big Ten games only, Weis is seventh among all B1G players in career points (75) and ranks third with 48 career assists in league play. He was eighth in overall career points among all NCAA skaters in 2017-18.
He was a three-time Academic All-Big Ten and Ohio State Scholar-Athlete honoree.
