Education: BS in Microbiology
What is she doing now? After graduation, Sam moved back to the Bay Area and worked as a Process Development Associate at Bayer. While working in the corporate world, Sam had the opportunity to explore many different professional directions and realized her passion is in research. Sam is now a graduate student at the University of Notre Dame pursuing her PhD in biology with a focus in cancer.
Accolades: four-time OSU Scholar-Athlete and Academic All American, won two National Championships in 2012 and 2015, competed for the Gray Team at her home pool at Collegiate Nationals in 2015
Advice to Buckeyes: “Life can generally be unpredictable, scary, invigorating, heartbreaking and exciting. All that matters is your journey in growth and learning. As long as you work hard and believe in yourself, everything always seems to have a way of working out for the better. When things are tough (and they will be), just keep on truckin’!”
Favorite memory: Being a SAAB Executive Board member and getting to meet Shaq
