VIDEO: Williams-Simon Talk Fall Camp

COLUMBUS, Ohio — With just one more day of fall camp ahead, Thursday’s video features two of the promising stars on the defensive front in senior Nathan Williams and junior John Simon.

Williams was named to the Ted Hendricks preseason watch list. He possesses tremendous pass rush ability with all the physical intangibles. He has recorded 89 career tackles and 20.5 TFL with 46 tackles, 9.5 TFL and 4.5 sacks last season. He had a 22-yard interception against Miami on the Hurricanes’ first possession and a team-best 6 tackles against Eastern Michigan. He enjoyed his best game with 9 tackles, 2 TFL and a sack at Illinois before recording 6 tackles and 2.5 TFL against the Wolverines.

Simon was named one of 12 “players to watch” at the Big Ten media days in July. Simon has 55 career tackles and 12 TFL in his first two years as a Buckeye. A promising defensive star with power and strength, Simon was an honorable mention all-Big Ten selection and Lott Trophy nominee in 2010 as a true sophomore.
