Buckeyes in the hunt this weekend vs. RedHawks for ticket to “The Joe”

COLUMBUS, Ohio – Ohio State men’s hockey forwards Hunter Bishop, Zac Dalpe and Mathieu Picard sat down with this week for video interviews previewing the Buckeyes’ CCHA quarterfinal playoff series at No. 1/2 Miami this weekend.

Eighth-seed Ohio State took care of ninth-seed Notre Dame in a first-round series last weekend with 3-1 and 8-2 wins. Picard, the lone senior on the Buckeyes this season, led the way in the first game with two goals and added a third the next night.

Dalpe, who was named First Team All-CCHA Wednesday, also had three points in the series with a goal and two assists. Bishop led the charge in game two, scoring a hat trick and added two assists for the five-point game.

The best-of-three series between Ohio State and Miami begins with a 7:35 p.m. game Friday at Steve Cady Arena in Oxford. The puck drops at 7:05 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, if necessary.
