COLUMBUS, Ohio – Ohio State men’s lacrosse defenseman Bobby Van Buren earned Honorable Mention All-America honors by the USILA on Thursday. The honor is his second in as many years.
The sophomore started all 14 games for the Buckeyes at close defense during the 2023 season. He had a ground ball in 12 of 14 contests and picked up 18 ground balls total. He finished the year with six caused turnovers, including two against Virginia. He helped the Ohio State defense hold four opponents to seven goals or less.
Van Buren also earned 2023 Second Team All-Big recognition. The Ohio State Scholar-Athlete is majoring in sport industry.
