COLUMBUS, Ohio – Tyler Hanson is headed north from Georgia to become a Buckeye and member of the Ohio State University rifle team for the start of the 2020-21 academic year. The Ware County High School product brings much success at that level and nationally.
Hanson was crowned the 2020 U.S. Army National Junior Smallbore Champion while competing for the Ole Mill Rangers club team. He also seized titles at the ’20 Georgia State Junior Olympics in both air rifle and smallbore. The previous year’s Georgia State Junior Olympics ended with Hanson taking second place in smallbore.
Ware County High was the top ranked team in Georgia and Hanson earned All-Georgia honors.
